Listen to Obituary

Lynda Carol Lorenz Roberts returned to her heavenly home on May 15th 2026. She was truly as a wild rose that beautifully brightened the world around her.

Lynda was born to Monroe Frank Lorenz and Julia Irene Bosic on January 19, 1949, in Bishop, California. After earning her high school diploma in 1968, she moved to Iowa with her half-sister, Pat. It was there that she met missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized – a turning point that shaped the rest of her life.

Following a prompting to attend Brigham Young University, Lynda’s path led her to her lifelong sweetheart, Mark W. Roberts. They fell deeply in love and were married in the Salt Lake Temple on November 24, 1971. The young couple moved to Iowa where Mark completed his degree in Chiropractic Medicine, eventually returning to Utah to settle down in Bountiful to raise their family of six children.

Lynda was a charismatic and loving mother who thrived on being active with her family, whether camping, skiing, or hiking in the outdoors. Lynda loved to play tennis in her younger years and enjoyed golfing with her grandkids in her later years. She possessed a wonderfully artistic soul and she loved doing arts and crafts. She had a beautifully unique, eccentric personality that truly made her one of a kind. Perhaps her greatest talent was her sense of humor. Lynda loved a good joke and had a unique gift for making an entire room break out in laughter.

Above all, Lynda was a woman of profound faith. Her deep spiritual connection was the compass of her life, and she leaves behind a powerful legacy of compassion, strength, and determination. Lynda was preceded in death by her son, Rett W. Roberts (2018), and her husband, Mark W. Roberts (2020). Her memory lives on through her children: Layna McKay (David), Tay Flandro (Nate), Mandy Telford (Mike), Rashelle Curtis (Cody), and Evan Roberts. Her incredible posterity includes 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom will cherish her memory forever.
