Lucile Hunter

Lucile Pack Hunter, 93, born October 12, 1912 a twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.O. Pack, died April 26, 2006, a victim of a stroke, at her home in Bountiful. After receiving her B.S. and M.S. from the University of Utah she began teaching which extended to 37 years in Davis County Schools. She married James C. Hunter May 15, 1937, and became the mother of four children. Two of whom, Andrea Lynne and Elaine Kay, succumbed with cancer. At one time, she and her husband owned the largest contiguous ranch in Davis County where they raised Blonde de Aquitaine Cattle. A lifelong member of the LDS church, she served happily in many stake and ward positions from Primary to president of the M.I.A. Her joys in life came from children, travel, reading, painting, crafts and needlework. Survivors include: James P. Patricia, Paul C. and Rosemarie; five grandchildren: Elaine, Stephanie, Abigail, James Paul, and Gregrey Mitra 3 great-grandchildren: Devon, Leila and Emma; sisters, Lavon Robinson, Henderson, Nevada; Wanda Clayton, Centerville, Shirley Blaine Wride, St. George; and sister-in-law Joyce Pack, Bountiful. Preceded in death by sister, Elaine MacDonald, brothers, Daryl & Warren Pack, and brother-in-law, Reece Robinson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends and family may call from 11:45 a.m.- 12:45 p.m. prior to services.
