Lorraine Bell of Syracuse, Utah (formally from Watervliet, New York) went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, September 9, 2022.  She passed suddenly, peacefully in her sleep at home.

The daughter of the late Bernard and Regina (Narkiewicz) Lachowicz, Lorraine was born on December 25, 1947, in Schenectady, New York.

Lorraine had a successful career in food service in several different positions.  After an amazing 28 years working at Siena College, she retired in the spring of 2019.  Once retired she started a new chapter in her life when she moved to Syracuse, Utah where she spent her retirement working for the Davis School District, spending time with family and relaxing.  Lorraine loved to interact with children from elementary to college. 

She was predeceased by her husband George N Bell Sr. 

She is survived by her sister, Eileen Nicodemi, brother-in-law Pete Nicodemi and sister-in-law Rosey (Bell) Miller.  She is also survived by her five sons: George N. Bell Jr (Heike) of Syracuse, Utah, Timothy J. Bell (Tami) of Colonie, New York, Scott Bell (Lisa) of Crawfordville, Florida, Brian K. Bell (Priscilla) of Portland, Oregon and Kevin J. Bell (Anyee) of Clifton Park, New York; the adorable Grandchildren Benjamin (Jessica) Dyer of Kaysville, Utah, Connor Bell (Mya) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Andrea Bell of Denver, Colorado, Travis Bell of Denver, Colorado, Joscelyn Lecuyer (Brent) of Colonie, New York, Sheldon (Bell) Thompson (Brandon) of Roy, Utah, Zoe Bell of Clifton Park, New York, Anthony Bell of Colonie, New York, Maris Bell of Portland, Oregon, Jameson Bell of Portland, Oregon.  Her great-grandchildren whom she adored, Zeke Thompson of Utah, Zion Thompson of Utah, Ela Thompson of Utah, Laz Thompson of Utah, Mo Thompson of Utah, and Penelope Dyer of Utah.  She leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.  

Lorraine had many hobbies she loved, crafting, playing card games, puzzle books, watching her soaps and old shows like “Gunsmoke” and “I Love Lucy”.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at George and Heike’s home at 1719 Doral Dr. Syracuse, Utah the afternoon of October 1, 2022, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.  Lorraine’s ashes will be Intern with her husband, George N Bell Sr at Memory Gardens in Colonie, New York summer of 2023.
