Linda Lucille Mamanakis Willerton passed away peacefully on December 27, 2020 in Syracuse Utah.
Linda was born on December 10, 1944 in Ogden, UT. She was the daughter of George Michael
Mamanakis and Ellen Nelson Mamanakis. She was oldest of five children.
Linda attended schools in Davis County and was a member of the first graduating class at Clearfield High
School in 1963. After Graduation, Linda attended Utah State University where she met her life-long
sweetheart, John Russell Willerton on a blind date. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the
Logan LDS Temple on March 19, 1964. They welcomed four children to their family: Mark Steven,
Heather Elizabeth, Justin Layne, and Jeremy Dean.
Linda was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many
callings. She worked 20 years in the Genealogy Department for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints as a cataloger. Upon retirement, Linda and John served a service mission at the Ogden Utah
Cannery. Her favorite things were her dogs, cooking, canning, going to Bear Lake, crafting, traveling and
reading.
Linda is survived by her husband John, their four children and their spouses – Mark (Britnee), Heather
(Gary) Green, Justin (Brooke), and Jeremy (Alyson). She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 3 ½
Great-Grandchildren, her siblings – sister Kate (Rob) Allred, sister Carol (Glenn) Mecham, brother Gary
(Kandis) Mamanakis, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents and
brother Elwood (Woody) Mamanakis.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Symbii Home & Hospice for the love and
care they provided Linda the past few weeks.
There will be a viewing from 6pm to 8pm, Wednesday December 30, 2020 at the Syracuse 7th Ward
building 1625 S 1100 W Syracuse.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Thursday December 31, 2020 at the Syracuse City cemetery.
