1948 Linda 2024

Linda Kay Brady

July 18, 1948 — July 26, 2024

Linda peacefully passed away Friday morning, July 26 holding her sweet husbands’ hand, surrounded by loved ones. She was born July 18, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the third of five children to Edith Ilda Reed and Henry Blair Stringham.Linda grew up in Salt Lake City with her parents, and 3 siblings, Ron, Karen, and Roger. She graduated from South High in 1966.

Linda met Robert Brady at a dance at Hill Air Force Base. When he got called to serve in the Vietnam War, he called for her address so they could keep in touch. While he was away, they wrote back and forth, truly getting to know one another. When Robert returned home, they had a month-long courtship, when he was called to relocate again for the military. Robert then called Linda and said, “Let’s get married!” On September 26, 1970, they were married amongst family and friends. 3 years later September 26, 1973, Robert and Linda were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Linda loved being a mother and wife. She filled her home with kindness, gentleness, caring, and gave love without expectations. She truly was the epitome of a mother, making her kids childhood magical. Linda was also an amazing grandmother, who loved nothing more than spending her time with her grandbabies. She was a great cook and loved making treats. Every Sunday, even after her kids had grown up, she made family dinner. Everyone would come over chat about the week past, and eat her delicious food always followed by dessert. Being together as a family meant the world to her.

Linda was a devoted member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. Serving whenever the Lord called on her. She faithfully attended her church meetings and served many callings without hesitation. She enjoyed quilting and scrap booking. Diet coke runs with her sister were a weekly must. Linda had a green thumb and loved attending to her flower gardens.Linda was a warrior. She had many health complications, and surgeries throughout her life. She never gave up. Never let it dampen her spirit, she always pushed forward with a positive, loving outlook on life. She was an angel on earth.

Linda is survived by her loving husband Robert, her children Rob, Ben (Amy), Matt (Amy), and Joy (Sean); her grandchildren Avy, Fox, and Brady; and her siblings Karen Moore (Don) and Roger Stringham (Pam).
