Born in Fillmore, Utah, to Lawrence Day Jackson and Leah Pauline Swallow, Larna graduated from Millard High School in 1953. She was a graduate from the LDS Business College and worked as a receptionist.
Some of her past employers were Utah Paper Box, Viewmont High School and Baskin Robbins as a cake decorator. She was asked many times to use her talents as a cake decorator to help friends and neighbors who wanted or needed something special. She not only did formal cakes but was not opposed to making more comical ones.
Larna spent many years in the Primary as a teacher and served twice as the Ward Relief Society President and the Stake Relief Society President. Many young women were blessed by her teaching and counseling as an advisor and was known by the name of SB.
Many years were spent working with the area special education young adults. She was the cook for many youth groups on campouts and will always be remembered as the crazy lady who refused to evacuate with the youth when a forest fire threatened their camp because she did not want the evening meal to burn.
Many meals were prepared in her kitchen and delivered to neighbors who needed them, much to the chagrin of her children who had to be happy with mac and cheese or hot dogs.
Larna was preceded in death by her husband, Gerwynn Mark Bradford, her parents Lawrence Day Jackson and Leah Pauline Swallow and a brother Lawrence Dale Jackson. She is survived by her children Mark, Scott, Lynette, and Tricia (Davis), 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah.
