Our beloved and beautiful Kira Olivia Davis joined the angels on November 20, 2023, at her apartment in Salt Lake City. We are heartbroken by this loss, but are given comfort by the outpouring of love and support by family and friends.
Kira was born on August 9, 1999, to Mark and Debbie Davis in Logan, Utah. She lived in Logan until she was 6, when her family moved to Centerville, Utah. She went to Jenny P Stewart Elementary school, Centerville Junior High school, and Viewmont High School, where she was involved in choir, musical theatre and played Lacrosse and gained life-long friends. Kira has a deep love of music, when she was 17 joined the world of electronic dance music (a.k.a. EDM) and began her journey and devotion to attending musical festivals, concerts and shows anywhere she could find them. The world of EDM became one of her life’s passions and she was able to travel the country with a devoted group of locals who share this same passion who became her second family. Kira also has an extraordinary love of animals, especially for her cats. She took in several stray cats, many at first with the goal of fostering, but ended up keeping each of them. She has a special way of communicating with animals and the softest heart for their well-being and love. This love will be carried on by her family, who plan to start a foundation for this cause in her name. Her family pets - Roxie, Scout, Ginger, Zoe, Simba, Patrick, Chubs, Pablo and Nala - will all carry her spirit with them.
Kira has a light about her that is undeniable, contagious and was felt wherever she went. She has a smile that would light the darkest of rooms, a laugh that made everyone feel better, and the most beautiful face and hair anyone could ask for! She has a wild sense of humor that most everyone who knew her got to experience, and a free spirit, always living life the way she wanted with no apologies. Most of all, Kira has one of the biggest and warmest hearts of anyone we know. She loves her family and friends so very much, and we know will be with us for the eternities.
Kira is preceded in death by her adored maternal grandmother, both paternal grandparents, and her uncle Kevin, who all greeted her with a bright smile and open arms. We know she makes the heavens a happier place to be. Kira leaves behind: her mom, Debbie, dad, Mark, brothers, Chris and Gavin, sister, Sierra, and sister-in-law, Bri, as well as her grandpa, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and an enormous number of friends that she met along her path of life. We will all miss her light in our lives, but will continue her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. We adore you, Kira. Fly high our bright star!!
