Kevin Mechling

Kevin Mechling, age 46, unexpectedly passed away on May 27, 2026, in Bountiful, Utah.

Kevin was born May 6, 1980, in Murray, Utah, to Doug and Pam Mechling. He grew up surrounded by family and friends and carried a kind, loving spirit throughout his life. Kevin graduated from Kearns High School with the Class of 1999. He was a wildland firefighter and later pursued his passion for hairstyling by graduating from Taylor Andrews Academy. He was an entrepreneur, spiritual guide, and life coach. He helped guide individuals back to their hearts and back to their own truth.

The greatest day in Kevin’s life was the day he became a father to Mila. Kevin and Mila shared a special bond filled with adventures, traditions, and simple moments together. They loved going to the movies, spending summer days at Lagoon, hiking with their dogs, gathering with extended family, and looking forward to their annual trips to Hawaii. He was a devoted father and spent every moment he could with her. He was present in all aspects of her life. He instilled in her a love for all living creatures, nature, reading, and adventure.

If you know Kevin, you know he loved nature, spending time outdoors, and taking daily walks and hikes with his beloved dogs. Above all else, he treasured his family and the time he spent with those he loved. Kevin had a remarkable capacity for kindness and compassion. Everyone who knew him experienced his goodness, and he was loved immensely by family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his parents, Doug and Pam Mechling; his daughter, Mila Mechling-Domingo; and his sisters, Angelee (Shane) Spader, Melinda (Travis) Mackey, and Janae (Eric) Anderton. He also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones who will miss him deeply.

Though Kevin’s time with us was far too short, the love he shared, the kindness he showed, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Woodland Park, 300 South 200 East, Farmington, Utah.
