Kent Sharp Davis

Loving husband, son, brother, and uncle Kent Sharp Davis passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 17, 2025, at the age of 64. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 23, 1961, Kent lived a life filled with kindness, faith, and quiet determination.

Kent found joy in the simple and meaningful parts of life. He worked for many years at Lam Wood Inc., where he was a dedicated and dependable employee. Outside of work, Kent was known for his bright spirit and his ability to make a friend with everyone he met. He enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics and took great pride in being involved with the Handicapped Mutual — a group that played a meaningful role in his life. It was there that he met his future wife and best friend, Caroline Troop.

Kent and Caroline were married on June 15, 1989, in the Salt Lake Temple. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership built on faith, friendship, and deep mutual love.

Kent was a beloved husband, a devoted son and brother, and a cherished uncle. He had a warm heart, a gentle soul, and a genuine love for those around him. His presence brought light and comfort to his family and friends, and his memory will be treasured always.

He was preceded in death by his parents Golden and Ida and his sister Bonnie Jean.

Kent is survived by his wife Caroline, his brothers Richard (Chris), Jack (Teresa), his sister Joy and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at the Bountiful 27th Ward, 1145 North 200 East, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call prior to services from 11:15 to 12:45 p.m.

The family expresses a deep appreciation for Kent’s sister, Joy, who faithfully cared for his special needs for many years.
