Keith Ungerman, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on July 27, 1939, in Castle Dale, Utah, to Theo and Rose Ungerman, Keith was a man deeply connected to the land, his craft, and his family.
A true cowboy and master craftsman, Keith was renowned for his exceptional skill as a saddle maker, woodworker, and gardener. His hands shaped not only fine tools and treasured heirlooms but also a legacy built on honesty, hard work, and quiet strength.
He carried a deep respect for the earth, an appreciation for the beauty found in simplicity, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved most. He had a deep love for his family and found great joy in sharing stories about his ancestors, preserving the history and values that shaped his life. Known for his quick wit and generous spirit, Keith loved to share his knowledge and life lessons with others.
Keith was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Nelson Ungerman, and by his parents, Theo and Rose Ungerman. He is survived by his three daughters, Patrice (Steve) Forsberg, Jackie Moses, and Karlene (Lenard) Eskelson, along with seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Keith’s life was a testament to craftsmanship, integrity, and the enduring strength of family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main St., Bountiful, Utah 84010, followed by a graveside service at the Bountiful City Cemetery to honor his life and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
