Kay LeVoy Snow, age 85, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, in Seaside, California.
He was born on September 26, 1939, in Helper, Utah, to Clinton Niels Snow and Mae Elizabeth Averett.
Kay was preceded in death by his best friend and life partner, Edwin Christiansen, as well as five brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his sister Betty Olson, sister-in-law Janet Peacock, and brother-in-law Steve Christiansen. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Kay worked for US West for over 30 years and was known for his talent in accounting. He was always willing to help friends and family with preparing and filing their taxes, and he took great pride in being someone others could rely on.
A longtime resident of South Salt Lake City, Utah, Kay was deeply involved in his community. He proudly served on the community council and was a passionate advocate for his neighborhood and fellow residents.
One of Kay’s greatest passions in life was caring for animals, especially birds. He served as President of the Avicultural Society of Utah, where he formed lasting friendships. He not only maintained his own aviary, but also served as a bird rehabilitator—taking in injured or sick birds and helping them heal. His compassion for animals was evident to all who knew him.
In accordance with Kay’s wishes, no formal services will be held.donations may be made in Kay’s memory to Tracy Aviary or Utah’s Hogle Zoo.Kay will be remembered for his gentle heart, his generosity, and the love he showed to both people and animals. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and quiet strength.
