Kaden Matthew Gilbert

Kaden Matthew Gilbert, age 26, passed peacefully on Saturday, January 19th, 2026, at his grandmother’s home in Bountiful, UT, stepping into his next grand adventure, one filled with the magic, beauty, sparkle, and wonder he so deeply loved.

Kaden was born in Ogden, Utah. He grew up in Bountiful and graduated from Bountiful High School. He went on to earn his associate’s degree through Salt Lake Community College, though his true education came from life, creativity, and the art of making an unforgettable entrance.

Kaden loved his job working in the shoe department at Nordstrom and had an undeniable passion for fashion, shopping, jewelry, and all things designer. Known for his love of high heels, long nails, statement jewelry, and bold personal style, Kaden didn’t just walk into a room, he lit it up. He loved to put on a show, make people laugh, strike a pose, and leave everyone smiling. Wherever Kaden went, joy and sparkle followed.

For a time, Kaden also took on the not so glamorous role of bookkeeping for his father’s company, iSignz & Awnings. Even then, he brought personality to accounting and proved that a little flair can make even numbers more fun. He wasn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves and, on a few occasions, get his hands a little dirty, though he always preferred sparkle to sawdust.

Kaden lived life out loud and with heart. He was vibrant, loving, and kind, a Disney princess at heart who believed deeply in beauty, self-expression, and a little everyday magic. He dreamed of a fantasy filled life inspired by music, glamour, and artistry and especially loved Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift, whose music brought him comfort, confidence, and joy. Kaden shared his creativity, humor, and larger than life personality on YouTube and Instagram, where he loved expressing himself, entertaining others, and connecting with people who appreciated his shine. He was also the go-to advisor for Christmas shopping for others, famous among friends and family for finding the perfect gift and delighting in every surprise.

Kaden loved travel and places that felt full of life and possibility. He especially loved Bear Lake and anywhere Disney, places that brought him peace and happiness. He also lived for a time on Melrose Place in Hollywood and in McAllen, Texas, always eager for new experiences and adventures.

Kaden was the youngest of two cherished children.

Kaden is survived by his loving mother, Josi Phillips; his father, Matthew (Gina) Gilbert; his sister, McKenzie (Tom) Gilbert; his grandparents, Dave and Susan Maynard; many bonus siblings; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his beloved cat, Dobbie. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Luana Gilbert, and his aunt, Robin Fields.

With a heart full of sparkle and a spirit that shined brighter than any spotlight, Kaden brought laughter, beauty, and love into the lives of all who knew him. May Kaden now live in a world where the music is always playing, the jewelry is always shining, the outfits are fabulous, the lights never dim, and like Disney, the magic never ends.

We will forever love you, Kaden.

Kaden’s celebration of life and memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah.

Viewing will begin at 2:00 PM, with services starting at 3:15 PM.
