Justin Charles Flanders

Jan 3, 1985 — Oct 14, 2026

Justin Charles Flanders, our cherished Son, Brother, Uncle, Great Uncle and Friend was tragically taken from his family and friends on the afternoon of October 14, 2026. A precious and loved soul, gone far too soon.

Justin was born on January 3rd 1985, at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, UT as the youngest child of seven to Stephen and Susan Flanders. Justin was raised in rural Farmington Utah alongside his two bothers and four sisters, in a loving home, with wide open spaces to run and play. His childhood was full of imagination and exploration. He spent his summers hiking the mountains of Farmington, swimming in the ponds close to home, running through the wide open fields around him and using his creativity to have fun with his friends and family. Justin attended Farmington Elementary, Farmington Jr. High School and Graduated from Viewmont High School in 2003. After which he worked alongside his Father, Mother, Brothers and Sisters to begin his adult life.

Justin loved his family with all his heart and soul, and especially loved his many nieces and nephews. He often spent his time crafting/drawing exquisite pieces of art work, rarely keeping those for himself. He enjoyed offering his art as gifts to the ones he loved as his way of showing his love and admiration to those around him. His artistic talent was vast, and impressive. He enjoyed using all types of mediums from paint, pencil drawings, sculpture, as well as building crafts and many others to express his artistic visions. Those pieces of art he created are now a special part of Justin that our family can hold onto as we grieve this horrific loss.

His life was highly valued by his family and friends, his laugh was contagious, his stories were intriguing and his generosity was always at the forefront of his interactions with those he loved most. It was common for him to offer his help with home repairs and renovations, as he was very handy at that type of work. He loved to work with his hands, and taking a project to completion.

Justin spent many years working with his father and brothers in building and running a model railroad. He helped with everything from building the train tracks, to building the rail cars, maintaining and constructing the landscaping, pouring the concrete, shingling the rooftops, and so much more in between. It was during this time that he learned so many life skills that supported his adult life. Many people from the community will remember Justin as their train conductor/engineer when they brought their families out to enjoy a train ride at our family’s railroad.

Justin was welcomed in heaven by our loving and merciful Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ. He was reunited in heaven with his Niece Carli Jean Daley, his Nephew Luc Stephen Gardner, his grandparents, Allen and Maiza Flanders, Sharlene and Don Browne, and the Grandfather he never had the opportunity to meet here on earth, but was his namesake Charles Phil Day.

He is survived by his loving parents Stephen and Susan Flanders, His siblings from oldest to youngest: Brother: Craig (Stacey) Flanders, Sister: Karen (Cory) Wubker, Sister: Angela (Chris) Gardner, Sister: Bonnie (Steve) Morrey, Sister: Brenda Flanders and Brother: Michael Flanders. And his 20+ Nieces and Nephews, and great nieces and nephews that he loves so much.
