Julie Giddings

June 15, 1972 — February 16, 2026

Julie Jenson Giddings was born June 15th, 1972, and passed from us in the early morning of February 16th, 2026. Julie is survived by her children, Cody, Jake, Sean, and Sadie; her two grandchildren; her life partner, Amedee Moran; her parents, Cheri and Robert Jenson; and her siblings, Lisa, Stacy, Suzanne, Brad, Mark, and Kevin.

Julie spent most of her life living in the Greater Salt Lake area, where she loved to spend time in the nature adjacent to the city, and where she built her family. Julie’s most proud role was that of a mother, and she cared deeply for her children and grandchildren. She raised her family to value kindness above all else, and she taught this by example. Many people outside her immediate family felt the love she always gave. Sharing her devotion for her family and friends is something that reflects the love Julie had for the people she surrounded herself with. Few things surpass the joy she felt at becoming a grandmother, and she brought this joy with her everywhere.

In all aspects of her life, Julie was a beloved member of her community. She was known and loved in her place of work, her neighborhood, and her faith. Her presence was a valuable contribution to those whom she interacted with, including the young women she taught in her church. She was inviting to all, and helping share her values was a prominent way that she showed her love.

Julie enjoyed going on runs, hikes, and walks in the mountains and parks near where she lived. Her career as a runner included races such as the Boston Marathon, the Ragnar, and the Red Dress Run. She was proud of the dedication and persistence that this sport gave her. Julie was an exceptionally hard worker, and her accomplishments in racing reflect that resilience.

Flowers were a prominent aspect of Julie’s life, and she surrounded herself with them. She often worked as a florist for parties and weddings, and was known around her neighborhood for the care she put into her garden. She knew the names and meanings behind all the flowers she worked with, and used them to show her love and excitement for the people she cared about.

Julie was well known for her role in the Salt Lake Country Club, where she worked for nearly 40 years. Members of this community came to love her for the care and attention she put into making events special. She enjoyed the people she worked with and loved using her expertise to bring people’s dreams to life for weddings, graduations, golf tournaments, and many more.

In her time at the Country Club, Julie came to meet her eventual life partner, Amedee. They were brought together by their dedication to providing for others in their work. They shared joys large and small; they enjoyed walking together, traveling together, and bringing their families together. Julie and Amedee each brought their own children to their relationship, and built a beautiful, blended family. They enjoyed hosting Monday night BBQ’s, Christmas Eve parties, and other formal and informal affairs where they could bring their loved ones together. Community was not only something that Julie valued, but something she created.

After retiring from the Country Club, Julie and Amedee spent time travelling, building many fond memories in beautiful places. Together, they saw France, Greece, Italy, and many more. However, her favorite places to visit were those where her family lived. She adored visiting her daughter in San Diego, and her son and her grandchildren in Nashville.

As deeply as she will be missed, we are proud to carry her memory and legacy with us.
