Joyce Henderson Cross

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother & Great-Great-Grandmother Joyce Mercy Edwards Henderson Cross, age 96, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

She was born on December 23, 1928, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John Paul and Myrtle Emily Player Edwards.She married Robert Dale Henderson on March 4, 1952, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had 29 happy years raising 5 children and serving in the church. He passed away in 1981.She married Stanley Cross on September 14, 1994. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He passed away in 2011.

She was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at age 21. Over the years, she served in many callings including, Relief Society President and Primary President. She was always so happy to serve wherever needed. She loved going to the temple and went frequently.

She had various interests, such as gardening, watching Star Trek reruns, crocheting-she made many, many blankets for humanitarian groups. She also loved reading and sharing what she learned from church books.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Henderson & by her second husband, Stan Cross, Son, Stephen Lynn Henderson, Parents, John & Myrtle Edwards, Brother, Russell Edwards, Brothers-in-Law and Sisters-in-Law.

She is survived by her children-Robyn (Scott) Martin, Marilyn Call, Mark (Kelly) Henderson, Karen (Scot) Canfield, Chris (Kevin) Moray, 18 Grandchildren, 34 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Noon. It will be held at the West Bountiful 4th Ward, 1930 N 600 W, West Bountiful, UT 84087. A viewing will be held before the funeral from 10:45-11:45am.

We are so grateful to have Joyce as our mother, we are truly blessed.
