John Wendel Howarth

John Wendel Howarth was born on September 28, 1939, in Brigham City, Utah, and passed away on February 23, 2026, in West Point, Utah, at the age of 86. John was the son of James Carr and Annie Elizabeth Howarth. He married DeAnne Haws on September 17, 1962, in the Logan Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. John is survived by his wife, 6 children, 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one brother. John has lived in many places, but spent 25 years in Tillamook, Oregon, and his last 19 years in West Point, Utah. John served a mission in Brazil and a senior mission with his sweetheart in Salt Lake City at the Family History Center. He was an Electrical Engineer and enjoyed woodworking and learning. A dedicated father and servant of the Lord, he was truly cherished and respected.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11:00 at 2865 West 800 North in West Point, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment in the Brigham City cemetery.
