Joan Karen Holmstrom Allen

Joan was born on 5/15/39 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jack and Dorathy Holmstrom. 

She married Dan Allen, later divorced, and she had two daughters Allison (Darrell), Stacey (Robert). 

She enjoyed gardening, fishing, sewing and she loved visiting Yellowstone National Park. She loved her job at Mountain Bell and worked there till she retired. 

She cared deeply for her family, friends and neighbors. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Ian (Allison, Mark) and Harley and Brody (Stacey, Robert). She was a wonderful and amazing woman who will be missed deeply. 

She is survived by daughter Stacey (Robert), grandchildren Ian, Harley, and Brody and herself adoptive son Chris. 

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Salt Lake County Animal Services. 

A casual graveside service will be held at noon on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025, at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 “N” Street, Salt Lake City, Utah.
