Jill Parker Taufa

September 20, 1974 — April 1, 2026

Woods Cross, UT

Jill Parker Taufa, age 51, unexpectedly passed away on April 1, 2026, after a heart attack.

Jill was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 20, 1974, and through the greatest gift, was placed in the loving arms of Terry Rodger Parker and Kathleen Maxwell Parker.

Jill graduated from Wood Cross High in 1992 and went on to study at Salt Lake Community College. She started her first job at Hallmark, where she left after four hours to ensure that her friends could experience a meaningful, shopping experience. In 2025, Jill, through hard work and dedication, became certified as a Stress Management Consultant.

In 1993, Jill met Lata ‘i Fangamato Taufa. The two were married and sealed for eternity on May 13, 1994, in the Salt Lake Temple by her favorite uncle, Elder Neal A. Maxwell. Jill and Mato went on to have four children: Lafitani ‘o Takalaua, Parker Vercoingoetrix, Justice Filipe Tongapoteki, and Kathleen Kilisitina.

Jill had a gift for connecting with people. She had an uncanny ability to make you feel as if you were her best friend. Jill knew people intimately and could recall minute details of their lives. She could outshop anyone and yet she would, and often did, sacrifice all to help those in need. Jill had a huge heart and loved life fiercely as evident by the collection of handbags, shoes, clothes, pets, and more importantly, friends that she leaves behind.

Jill is survived by her parents, Terry and Kathy Parker, along with her brothers, Steven Rodger Parker and Philip Maxwell Parker.

Jill lived a life full of vibrancy and hope filtered through a lens of childlike wonder. It was a life accentuated by a simple and abiding faith, occasionally pierced by bouts of purposeful irreverence just to remind us it was Jill. The world is a little dimmer with her passing and yet her love and consistent participation within various LDS temples reminds us of the promise that we can all stand together again as friends and family.
