Jessica Tolman Thomas

Jessica Tolman Thomas passed away in December days before her 27th birthday in Aurora, Colorado.

She was married 6 short weeks before her death to the love of her life, her husband Stormy Thomas. She loved being married to Stormy, and they had moved to Colorado so she could teach third grade Science. They embraced their new city. She spent many nights driving through the city with her husband, talking and exploring the city together.

During her life, Jessica actively involved herself in school and life, from helping charity causes, joining the writing club, participating in science club, and competing with the robotics team.  Jessica graduated from Woods Cross High School, and she served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Lansing Michigan mission. While attending Brigham Young University, she was a camp counselor at Aspen grove, and loved working with the kids there, especially the younger children. After earning her teaching degree from BYU, she taught for three and a half years in the third, fourth, and fifth grades. She loved being with kids, and her heart ached for them if they were struggling or facing challenges.

She loved being around her family and they will miss her terribly. She leaves behind her parents Eric and Monika Tolman, her siblings Matthew Tolman and his wife Cai-Peng, Ashley Tolman, Sammi Tolman, Michael Tolman, James Tolman, her two nephews Leo and Vinny, her pet bunny Oreo, and the love of her life, her husband Stormy.

Services for Jessica will be Tuesday December 27th at Russon Mortuary, 295 N Main Street, Bountiful, UT 84010. The viewing will be from 12:30 to 1:45, followed by her celebration of life ceremony at 2:00 p.m. All who loved Jessica are invited.  Services at Russon Mortuary will be streamed live on Russon Brothers Mortuary Facebook page and this obituary page.

A separate memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ward building at 2633 South 50 West, Bountiful, Utah at 2:15 p.m.  All who loved Jessica are invited to attend the service they are most comfortable with.
