Jeremy Clint Compton

September 28, 1981 — April 16, 2024

Layton, Utah

Jeremy Clint Compton, beloved son of Doug and Linda Compton and husband of Lori Vincent Compton passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the young age of 42. It was much too soon for those of us he left behind.

Jeremy was born September 28, 1981, in Ogden, Utah. True to Jeremy’s laid-back nature he began the birth process but decided to take a rest sending his mom home only to come back to the hospital 1 hour later.

If a phrase could describe Jeremy, it would be “a man without guile”. Through his many struggles in life he refused to speak ill of anyone or blame God.

Jeremy leaves behind a wife and 4 beautiful children who will miss him greatly. 3 of Jeremy’s children are “special needs” children. If Jeremy were writing this, he would eliminate the word “needs” and just say they were “special”. With unwavering dedication Jeremy would care and provide for their needs.

Jeremy also experienced physical challenges himself suffering the strain of a bad back for many years.

Jeremy was a talented musician who especially loved playing the guitar. He played in the Morgan High Jazz Band and formed a band of his own with choice friends. He also played tennis and ran track at Morgan High. He served an LDS mission in Peoria Illinois 2001-2003.

Although talented and wonderful he was modest to a fault, never boasting or bragging.

Jeremy married a die-hard Texas girl, Lori Vincent, on October 22, 2005 and later was sealed in the Jordan River temple on November 25, 2006. After 7 years of marriage and 2 children he went back to school at Weber State University earning his bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media. He did this while working full time and helping to care for his 2 children.

Jeremy leaves behind a devastated wife, 4 children: Rhett, Ella, Marah, and Evie, and 2 brothers: Trevor and Matthew. Also left behind are his parents who have had some of the joy taken out of their lives.

We believe his burdens have been made light and pray he is enjoying his new home.

Rest in peace Jeremy, we love you, miss you, and know we will see you again.
