Jennette Brown Paskett

September 6, 1942 — April 4, 2022

On April 4, 2022, Jennette Brown Paskett closed her beautiful blue eyes for the final time while in this earth life following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.  She was born on September 6, 1942, to Jellette and Lenore Hansen Brown in Ogden, Utah. She was fiercely loyal to her husband and children and to God and Jesus Christ. She is a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jennette attended Ogden High School and Weber State College and then served a mission in the Berlin Germany Mission.  While serving there she met a young man, Leslie F. Paskett, who would later quickly sweep her off her feet, propose to her after two dates, and marry her four weeks later on July 15, 1966, in the Logan, Utah temple.  Neither of them cared what others thought about the six-week engagement and speedy marriage because they were destined to be together forever.

Jennette was selfless in every phase of her life.  She sacrificed her own wants and needs for the wants and needs her family.  She was a friend to everyone and loved searching out those who were in need of friendship and love.

Jennette served as a missionary three different times.  The first was a proselyting mission in Berlin, Germany, the second with her husband in the inner city of Salt Lake City, the last in Turkey as a humanitarian missionary aiding the poor, the handicapped and other needy children of God.

She was actively involved in family history work.  As the stake extraction leader, she spent countless, even thousands, of hours retyping every record that others had extracted to ensure that each record had been reviewed and was correct. After the extraction work was put on the internet, she quickly churned out thousands of individual records.

Her desire to serve her ancestors culminated in serving in the Bountiful temple as an ordinance worker.  Her love for the temple was manifest as she spoke of her strong desire to attend the temple even when she could barely communicate it.

Jennette was a seamstress, a tutor, a family history enthusiast, a super typist, but her greatest accomplishment was raising her 7 children and teaching them Gospel of Jesus Christ. She loved family gatherings and having the family in her home.

She is survived by her loving husband Les Paskett and her four beautiful daughters Shellie Stenquist (Bob), Stacey Wesemann (Darren), Robyn Gull (Jared) and Susan Putnam (Courtney), her three sons Mark (Shara), Andy (Angie), Spencer (Criscell) and 29 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren all of whom she adores.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday April 15, 2022, at the Bountiful Heights Stake Center, 33 So. Moss Hill Dr., Bountiful, Utah.  The family will be accepting visitors Thursday evening April 14, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Russon Mortuary, 295 No. Main St., Bountiful, Utah and Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services.  Interment- Memorial Lakeview Cemetery.
