Jeanne Huber Mary Jeanne Midgley Huber, 91, longtime resident of Bountiful, passed away March 15, 2008. Jeanne was born January 23, 1917, in SLC, UT, to Rushby C. and Mary Alice Shaw Midgley. She married Paul O. Huber in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 23, 1938. They cherished their 70 years together, separated only by the 4 long years Paul served overseas during World War II. Paul and Jeanne recently enjoyed a surprise Combined Birthday Party 91st for Jeanne, 93rd for Paul with friends and neighbors. Three weeks later, they had another special event when they celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary surrounded by their family. Jeanne attended the University of Utah. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She created a beautiful, loving home that was the gathering place for all the Huber children and their friends. Jeanne was a faithful member of the LDS Church. She served in many Stake and Ward callings. Jeanne volunteered as a guide at the Beehive House, and was a lifelong member of Agalia Mu. She was a marvelous gardener, a great cook and a talented seamstress. Jeanne was a master quilter. She served as President of the Bountiful Quilters. She was the Chair of the 1985 LDS Hospital Holiday Quilt Show and Auction. The exceptional quilt she created for this charity event was purchased for $10, 000. In 1986 Jeanne served as President of the Utah Quilt Guild, which named her their Silver Thimble Award winner for 2007. For over 40 years, Paul and Jeanne have enjoyed their ranch and family retreat in beautiful Star Valley, WY. Jeanne had an abiding love for animals and their household pets became treasured members of the family. Jeanne is survived by her husband Paul; daughters Christine David Brand of Bountiful, Elline &qoute;Pinkie&qoute; Rulon Harrison of Centerville, and Pauline Gary Sonntag of Price; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; brother Louis Ireta Midgley of Provo; sister Elline Glen Craig of Bountiful. Preceded in death by her son, Paul Winston Huber and brother Rushby Midgley. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Bountiful Tabernacle, 51 South Main Street. Friends and family may call Monday evening, from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Tuesday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. The interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Bountiful, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com
