Jason "Scott" Bell

January 22, 1982 — September 15, 2025

Salt Lake City

Jason Scott Bell, born January 22nd 1982, died Monday, September 15th, 2025. In the Lord’s mercy Scott passed peacefully in his sleep to end his mortal journey and return to his loving Heavenly Father.

As a child Scott was a fun, unique little guy who loved karate, nachos (chips with greasy cheese) at the ballpark, and anything that “the boys” (his older brothers) were doing.

He graduated from Viewmont High School in the year 2000.

One of the things that Scott enjoyed in life was playing golf with his dad and brothers. He had a sweet lefty golf swing and most times played well enough to beat his dad and all his older brothers (whether they admit it or not).

Scott will be remembered for his playful sense of humor, wit, and clever observations even during hard times. He had an inquisitive mind and liked to observe and read and learn about things. When talking with Scott, it always felt like he was happy to be engaged in the conversation and had a genuine interest in others.

Scott loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was always gentle and kind with the little children and wanted to talk to them and help them with what they were doing. He could be seen getting a golf club and some wiffle balls out to show a niece and nephew how to hit a golf ball, or showing up at a nephew’s baseball game and bringing him a treat in the dugout, or just hanging out with a little toddler nephew probably with something funny to say about the situation at hand.

Scott loved his family and was a loyal brother and loving son. He will be eternally grateful to have been blessed with such loving, longsuffering, and supporting parents who loved him dearly and were always there for him during the trials of his life.

Scott carried a heavy burden throughout his life that few can understand, but that Jesus Christ perfectly understands. It brings his family much comfort to think of Scott wrapped in the embrace of his Savior, who descended below all things and perfectly understands and knows how to succor, where he can find rest and peace.

We know that in Jesus Christ all can find rest and peace. Our faith and hope lie in the words of the Savior, “In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Scott is survived by his parents, Kenneth W. and Robbi Bell; his siblings K. Lance Bell (Beverly), R. Brett Bell (Jill), W. Marc Bell (Ashley), and Staci Williams (Tyler); his children London Marie and Ayden Willow; and his many nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Della Lawrence, Kenneth and Charlotte Bell; his nephews Austin and Kailen Bell; and sister-in-law Rachel Bell.

The family will hold a private memorial service to honor Scott.
