With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Janeth Norma Stevens. She passed peacefully on April 18, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 31, 1932 in Logan, Utah.
She graduated from Logan High School and then got a job as a telephone operator. She met her sweetheart, Dan Stevens, while he was attending Utah State University. They fell immediately in love and were married on May 13, 1954 in Logan. Together they raised 3 daughters, Lori, Lynda and Teresa.
Janeth was an excellent pianist and enjoyed playing her favorite songs and her family also enjoyed hearing her play. She served as the pianist in her ward Primary for several years. She was a wonderful cook and made the most delicious pies, cakes and rolls. She loved spending time with family and the dinner table was always a place of laughter and love. She loved going camping with family and friends in their motor home, going for rides on their motorcycle, planting flowers, reading a good book and anything chocolate. Her home was always neat, clean and tidy. She loved her family fiercely and anyone who knew her described her as a “sweetheart” and “an angel.”
Janeth leaves behind a brother, Brent Wilson (Loralie), and 3 daughters, Norma Lori Daniels (Dallan), Lynda Pales (George), and Teresa Nies (Scott), 9 cherished grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Daniel Mack Stevens, parents; Joseph Gwynne and Norma Elizabeth Cowley Wilson and by 3 brothers; Deloy Wilson, Gordon Wilson and Alan Wilson.
