Janet Badger Osborn

October 20, 1945 — April 16, 2022

Janet Badger Osborn born October 20th, 1945, at 8:30 pm to Forrest Reynold Badger and Wilma Geraldine Culley Badger in Rupert Idaho, left the bounds of this mortal life into the arms of our Savior on the morning of April 16, 2022. She was married in the Salt Lake City temple to B. Douglas Osborn on November 10th, 1967.

She is survived by her husband Bonner Douglas Osborn, sister Frances Hyde, three daughters Jennifer Bekah Osborn Kingston (Kenner), Melissa Lorraine Osborn Bowman (Todd), Krista Elise Osborn Johnson (Todd), grandchildren Lara (Ronnie), Adam (Katie), Hayden, JayBird, Hailey, Cohen, and great grandchild Kai. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Lester Badger (Judy), and Annalee Badger (Horton).

Janet was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she faithfully served in many callings. While still a teenager she taught Primary, as an adult she filled a stake mission, and taught in Young Womens, Relief Society and Primary. She was an active volunteer in the Salt Lake City Temple and was extremely passionate with her genealogy work.

She leaves us with her testimony. “I want you to know that I have a true testimony of my Savior. I know he lives because he’s held me in his arms on a few occasions. My prayers have always been answered, some very quickly and others in the Lord’s time, but they have always been answered. I’ve received many promptings from the spirit and at the exact time I needed it. I can hardly wait to meet and thank the Holy Ghost, in person, for all he has done for me. He is real. I’ve enjoyed so many tender moments while serving in so many callings in the Church throughout my lifetime.” For years she lived in Salt Lake City and for the last 18 years she lived in West Point where she loved being a member of the West, West Point 5th Ward.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 23rd  at 2:00 pm in the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1585 West 300 South, Syracuse, Ut 84075. (801)825-3655.
