Janeen Hughes Ward

Our sweet, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on May 30, 2026, in Bountiful, Utah, surrounded by loved ones.

Jan was born on February 2nd, 1957, to Harold LaMarr Hughes and Luana Newman Hughes in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was blessed with two sisters and two brothers. She grew up in Kearns, Utah where some of her favorite hobbies included painting, sewing, baking and reading. She excelled in all she did.

Jan graduated from Kearns High School in 1975. She started working in the hydraulic industry right out of high school up until her death, working as a secretary, office manager, and operations manager for the following companies – The Wilde Company, Berendsen Fluid Companies and Western Integrated.

Jan met her husband Glen through work. They married April 25th, 1992, in Bountiful, Utah. Together, Jan and Glen created a beautiful life centered on love, family, and lasting memories. They especially enjoyed spending time in Southern Utah camping and exploring, where many cherished moments were shared. For nearly 35 years Jan made her home in West Bountiful, where she lovingly nurtured her family and created a warm, welcoming place for all.

Jan was a proud mother of two children, Cory and Melanee and was blessed with 11 grandchildren. Nothing brought her greater joy than being a grandmother. She was and will continue to be a remarkable example of love, charity, service and devotion to her husband and family.

Jan’s kindness touched countless lives. Since her passing, many family members, friends, neighbors, and former coworkers have shared stories of her generosity, compassion, and quiet acts of service. She had a gift for making others feel valued and cared for, and her loving influence will continue to be felt by all who knew her.

Jan is survived by her husband Glen, children Cory (Tasha), Melanee (Shawn), daughter in law Stephanie, brother Robert (Bernice), sister Marie (Dean), 11 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents LaMarr and Luana, sister Lani and brother Steven.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, where a viewing will be held for family and friends to visit Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday morning from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m., prior to services.

Interment will follow at Whitney Cemetery in Whitney, Idaho, by invitation.
