Jane Lynn Hart

Jane Lynn Hart passed away the morning of October 26th, 2023 at her home after an extended illness.

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. She had pale, platinum blonde hair as a child and was known for her fabulous memory.

She had a great love of cats from the very beginning – all her childhood stuffed animals were kitties and she was blessed with many cats over the years.

She graduated from Highland High School and attended the University of Utah.

Apart from her first day with a driver's license when she went off the road and mowed down a row of rose bushes, she was known for having a green thumb and cherished taking care of a variety of plants over the years.

She married Michael Hart where they lived together in Wyoming and Hawaii before settling down in the greater Salt Lake area. She enjoyed many good years with Mike raising her family. Being a mother was one of the things that brought her the greatest joy.

She worked for more than two decades manufacturing silicon computer chips at Fairchild Semiconductor before transferring to be a customer representative at Discover Card.

She appreciated a variety of cinema and would enjoy going to the movies, often with a good beer. She frequented farmers markets and adored the experience of sampling fresh, regional produce. One of her favorite activities was trying Indian, South Asian, and other diverse cuisines. She loved a sweet treat.

She is survived by her sister Susan, her son Colby, her daughter Erin, and her granddaughter Brihanna. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael.

She will be deeply missed by her friends and family. She could brighten anyone’s smile and bring warm joy to their heart.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 2nd at 2:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ located at 1475 North 50 East, Centerville, Utah 84014.
