Our beloved son, brother, husband, and father, Jade Brian Wilson, left this world for his next adventure on November 20, 2025, due to complications from a car accident where Jade saved Christina and Tristan’s lives by steering them safely. Jade was born in Provo, Utah, on July 31, 1968, to his parents, Neal Ronald Wilson and Karen Madsen Wilson. He and his family lived in Murray and Las Vegas before settling in Ogden, Utah. He loved living in Ogden and was a proud 1986 graduate of Bonneville High School. Jade loved service to others, new adventures, and learning. After high school he joined the Army Reserves and served an L.D.S. Mission in South Korea. He graduated with a degree in political science from Weber State University. He then moved to his favorite city of Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington with a master’s degree in international relations in 1995. He loved rooting for UW and watching all of the games. He always read all sides of any issue and spent hours each day learning and reading. He enjoyed working for himself alongside his friends at Proactive Network Management for over 20 years.
He married the love of his life, Christina Leslie Micken, on October 15, 2011. They were so lucky to find each other later in life and they shared a wonderful love and life together in Farmington, Utah. They welcomed a son, Tristan. Tristan was the light of Jade’s world. He loved being a dad. He built trains with Tristan when he was little and visited Thomasland and Disneyland with him. As Tristan grew older, Jade loved going to Lagoon with him, discussing science with him, and watching movies with him. He supported Tristan at school, and he loved watching him play lacrosse and basketball. They shared a love of voracious learning. They both love to read and watch history and science television shows. They loved listening to Greek mythology podcasts on the way home from school.
Jade was a wonderful husband who supported Christina in every way every day. Jade was a consummate foodie, and he loved to eat, to cook, and to convince everyone to try new foods. He loved to cook new foods for family and friends and to order fun food to try whenever he went out for dinner with family and friends. Jade was a lifelong golfer and loved watching Tristan and Christina learn the game. Jade loved music. He traveled to music festivals with friends and went to concerts often, whether at small venues when he was younger or Red Butte with his family in later years. He collected music his whole life and then had fun digitizing it all.
He loved his family and he loved making Christina and Tristan happy always. He loved making memories with his family. He didn’t love to travel as much as Christina and Tristan, but he always energetically traveled with them and had so much fun visiting Korea, Japan, Italy, and 34 states and numerous national parks. Above all, Jade loved making everyone happy and laugh. He had an amazing quick wit and he always said he would do anything for a good laugh, and he did.
Jade is survived by his wife Christina, son Tristan, mother Karen Wilson, sister Staci Taylor (Danny), and brother Devin Wilson (Lindsay). He is also survived by his brothers-in- law John Barber and Kyle Micken (Marisol), sister-in-law Cynthia Micken, and nieces and nephews: Logan Barber (Bryn), Audrey Overbaugh (Caleb), Judd Barber (Lauren), Mya Brown (Jordan), Ethan Taylor, Lucia Micken, Lucas Micken, Graham Wilson, and Gus Wilson. He is also survived by his great-nephew Hank Barber, and great-niece Millie Barber. He is survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. His sweet dog, Sophie, keeps waiting for him to come home.
He is preceded in death by his father Neal Wilson, sister Camille Barber, mother-in-law Leslie Micken, and father-in-law Robert Micken.
Jade will be forever missed and loved. Our hearts are broken. A service to celebrate Jade will be held at Russon Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, Utah, on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM with a visitation from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM. Please come and celebrate Jade with us.
