Ione A. Johnson

Ione A. Johnson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, was called back to her Heavenly home on August 9th, 2026.

Ione was born in Bountiful, UT on January 25, 1936, to loving parents Jacob Peter Andrew Anderson and Mary Elizabeth Anderson.

She attended and graduated from Davis High School in Kaysville, UT. She married her sweetheart, James D. Johnson on April 22nd, 1955, in the Salt Lake Temple and together they had 5 children, losing their first one at only 6 weeks old. 

Ione worked at many jobs, but mostly with the Davis School District lunch program until retiring in 2006 after serving for twenty-two years.

She faithfully held many church callings and spent many dedicated years taking care of Dave until he passed.

Ione is survived by her 4 children, Linda (Clyde) Tolman, Kathy Tugaw, Rick (Jeri) Johnson, and Dan (Amy) Johnson. She has 13 Grand Children and 13 Great Grand Children.

Ione was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, (Dave), 2 sisters (Juanita & Bernice), 1 brother (Eldon), and her infant daughter (Laurie).

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 15th, 2026, at the Centerville Utah Stake Center, 950 North Main Street, Centerville, UT. Viewings will be held Friday, August 14th, 2026, from 6-8 pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 N Main, Bountiful, UT and on Saturday, August 15th, 2026, from 9:45-10:45 am at the church, prior to the service.

Interment will be at the Centerville City Cemetery.
