HELEN CARLSON JACKSON

Helen C. Jackson, age 90, passed away December 11, 2006. She was born June 29, 1916 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Mary Elizabeth Burbidge and Gustave Olaf Carlson. She was the last surviving child. Married Amos R. Jackson February 16, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in all of the auxiliaries and had an undeniable testimony. Helen served a mission with her husband to the Copenhagen Denmark Mission 1982-83. They also served in the Stockholm Temple Mission 1985-86. Helen was an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple for 13 years and a volunteer at LDS Hospital.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her 9 children: Andrew Burbidge Jackson Teddy Louise Pleasanton, California; Ann Troop Howard A. Bountiful, Utah; Sylvia Hadlock Richard A. Sandy, Utah; Paul Burbidge Jackson Jenna Sandy, Utah; Mary Jo Myers Dane J. Springdale, Arkansas; Deborah Omer Robert W. Meeker, Colorado; Robert Woolley Jackson, San Antonio, Texas; Jeanne Mather J. Shane Salt Lake City, Utah; and Joseph Woolley Jackson, Salt Lake City, Utah; many loving foster children; 48 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren. She was adored and loved by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Willow Creek 7th Ward, 2215 E. Creek Road. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 Friday evening at the ward and also 9:30-10:30 Saturday morning. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to the Perpetual Education or Humanitarian Funds of the LDS Church. Funeral directors, Russon Brothers, SLC.
