Harrison O'Neill Tiernan, 23, of Los Angeles, California, left this life far too soon on June 20, 2026.
Harrison was born on December 6, 2002, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Shane and Erika Tiernan. He was raised in Bountiful where he grew up surrounded by family, friends, and the mountains that shaped his early life. For a few years, Harrison and his family also lived in Camas, Washington, before returning home to Bountiful in 2009.
Harrison graduated with honors from Woods Cross High School in 2021. He had a remarkable intellect, and academics came naturally to him. Madame Britte and Mrs. Shriver were among his most beloved teachers, leaving a lasting impact on his life. After high school, Harrison earned his Utah real estate license and worked as a realtor for a short time before following his dreams and moving to California.
Harrison was an accomplished tattoo artist, known for his personal approach and distinctive artistic style that set his work apart. His creativity, precision, and ability to translate emotion into art made his work highly sought after by clients, including celebrities and social media personalities, who appreciated the individuality he brought to every piece.
His passion for music deeply influenced his artistic expression, shaping the rhythm, flow, and emotion found in his work. Over the last few years, Harrison fell in love with playing the electric guitar and writing his own music. Through his songs, he poured out his heart. They reflected his thoughts, his feelings, his hopes, and even some of his struggles. Music became another canvas for Harrison's creativity, allowing him to express himself in ways words alone sometimes could not.
Harrison had a deep love for motorcycles. He found freedom, peace, and pure joy on two wheels. The open road was one of the places where he felt most alive. His passion for motorcycles wasn't something he simply discovered—it was woven into who he was. It had been passed down through generations, shared by both of his great-grandfathers, his grandfathers, and his dad. Riding connected him not only to the road ahead but also to a family legacy he was proud to carry forward.
From a young age, Harrison loved to skateboard. Every chance he got, he could be found at the skate park, spending hours practicing new tricks and perfecting the ones he had already mastered. He went through countless skateboard decks over the years, yet somehow managed to keep every single one. Watching Harrison skateboard was a joy because you could see how happy it made him. It wasn't just a hobby—it was one of the places where his passion, determination, and carefree spirit truly came alive.
He loved the ocean and felt at home in the city of Los Angeles, embracing its energy, diversity, and endless inspiration. Harrison also loved surfing, finding both peace and exhilaration in the waves. Whenever he could, he returned to the snow-covered mountains to ski, reconnecting with the place that had shaped his childhood.
Harrison had the biggest smile. We will forever miss the way a room would light up when he walked in, flashing his handsome face and unforgettable grin.
He cherished spending time with his friends, building deep and meaningful relationships that meant everything to him. Harrison made friends easily wherever he went and was fiercely protective of those he loved. From a young age, he stood up for others, always making sure his friends were cared for and never left behind.
Harrison had an incredible eye for fashion and a natural sense of style. He loved curating outfits together and dreamed of turning that passion into something bigger. Prior to his passing, he was in the process of developing his own clothing label. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and was always dreaming about what he could do next. He believed in creating something that reflected who he was, and his ambition inspired those around him.
Harrison is survived by his parents, Shane O'Neill and Erika (Revell) Tiernan; his older sister, Emma (Kyle) Christensen; his nephew, Callum O'Neill Christensen; his younger brother, Will Thomas Tiernan; his grandparents, Gregg and Marsha Revell of Bountiful, Utah, and Pattie Tiernan of California; and was preceded in death by his grandfather, Terry Tiernan. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who will miss him dearly, as well as his beloved miniature Dachshund, Little Miss Mabel, whose limitless energy brought him constant joy and companionship.
His family expresses their deepest gratitude for the prayers, kindness, and support shown by countless friends, neighbors, and loved ones. That love has carried them through these difficult days, and hearing the many stories of how Harrison touched the lives of others has brought much comfort. Although Harrison's passing has left our hearts broken, we find peace, joy, and hope in our faith and in the knowledge that families are eternal and that we will be reunited with him again.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, North Canyon Ward Chapel, located at 965 E. Oakwood Drive, Bountiful, Utah 84010, where a visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 6:30 p.m. A "Remembering Harrison" reception will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the cultural hall at the same location.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Mary & Joseph Retreat Center for the use of their beautiful gardens and chapel, where we were able to say goodbye to our beloved Harrison.
Though his time with us was far too short, Harrison lived with creativity, courage, loyalty, and love. His beautiful spirit, generous heart, and unforgettable smile will remain with all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
