Glen Osiek

July 23, 1934 — May 8, 2026

North Salt Lake, Utah

Glen Osiek, 91, of North Salt Lake, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026.

Glen was born on July 23, 1934, at home in Vernal, Utah, to Louis F. Osiek and Rosetta Larsen, the sixth of nine children. Growing up in a large family helped shape the hardworking, dependable, and good-humored man so many came to know and love.

On April 28, 1962, Glen married the love of his life, Jenean Crawford. Together they built a life centered on family and raised four children, of whom he was immensely proud: Annette Osiek, Paula (David) Snow, Michael (Lisa) Osiek, and Brent (Diana) Osiek. He was a devoted grandfather to Garrett (Aubryn), Benjamin (Hanna), Camille (James), Jessica, Spencer (Helen), and Hannah (Jeremiah) and a cherished great-grandfather to 12 great-grandchildren. Glen was a faithful man and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Jenean; his brothers Densel, Leslie, Robert, and Billy Osiek; and his sister Delores Symes. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as his sisters Melba Booth, Betty White, and Enid K. Anderson.

Glen was well known throughout his neighborhood for his green thumb. His yard was always bursting with colorful flowers, and his garden produced more vegetables than his family could use, much to the delight of friends and neighbors who were frequent recipients of his generous harvests. Whether tending his own garden or beautifying the yards of others through his landscaping business, he took pride in hard work and a job well done.

He retired from Hill Air Force Base and later worked at Smith's Food and Drug, where coworkers and customers alike appreciated his friendly personality, quick smile, and genuine kindness. Glen was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to make people feel welcome.

An avid hunter, Glen loved spending time in the field with his cherished bird dogs. He enjoyed reading western novels, sharing stories, and keeping those around him laughing with one of his many jokes.
