Glen Alfred Orme

Glen Alfred Orme passed away September 21, 2021, from covid and complications of kidney disease.

He was born in 1947 in Preston, Idaho the 5th child of Lincoln A. Orme and Florence M. Skabelund.  He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas and Texas South missions.  He returned to BYU where he met his wife, Sylvia Kaufman.  He taught and coached at Woods Cross High for 40 years. A devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a science teacher and coach, and a faithful Elder, choir member, and scout leader.  He was an imperfect man whose mistakes were motivated by love and covered by his Savior.  He now joins the choirs above, singing His praise.

Survived by wife, Sylvia, children:  Jeff (Michelle), Angela, Stacey Hatch, Janae Scott (Larry), and Brad; 13 grandchildren; siblings: Marie Gamble (Darrel), David (Cynthia), Jane Kennard (Richard), Kenneth (Laurie), Steven (Maxine) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by parents: Lincoln A. Orme, Florence M. Skabelund Orme; son-in-law Jared Hatch; sister Beth Webster (Dennis), sister-in-law Bonnie Orme, and brother-in-law Melvin Kaufman.

A viewing will be held Sunday September 26, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Russon Mortuary at 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, and Monday, September 27 from 9:45 to 10:45 am at the Kaysville East Stake Center, 201 South 600 East, Kaysville.  Funeral Services at 11 am on Monday, September 27 at the Kaysville East Stake Center.  The services will be streamed live on Russon Brothers Mortuary Facebook page.  The link is: https://www.facebook.com/russonmortuary.  It will also be at the bottom of this obituary when the service begins.
