Ginger embraced the arms of her husband as she entered our Savior’s presence on January 8, 2026, at the age of 78. Ginger was born on December 6, 1947, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to her mother Louise and to her father Don Clement. She was the 2nd child of four; an older brother Morgan, and two younger sisters, Janice and Trish, to whom her mother said she was always a wonderful example to. She grew up loving to spend time with her family in the out-of-doors, hiking, riding horses on her Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Norman’s farm, snow skiing and water skiing.
Ginger graduated from Idaho Falls High School, attended Ricks College where she earned her Associates Degree, and then attended Brigham Young University where she graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She went on to teach elementary school where she made a significant impact for good on the lives of many, including her own children, her grandchildren, and even those within her neighborhood whom she loved and cared for.
Ginger married Meikle Rapp in the Idaho Falls Temple, June 25, 1971. Together they raised four beautiful children, all of which loved having their mother in the home. Ginger carried the touch of an angel with her warm smile and joyful presence, being contagious to all who knew her. She loved history, patriotism, and had a strong love for her country. She was a wonderful seamstress and, back in the day, sewed many aprons for grocery stores as Meik worked in the grocery industry. Ginger lived a healthy and energetic life filled with a love for spending time with her family, gardening and working in her yard, riding her bike, walking Davis Blvd, and hiking (she hiked Havasupai in the Grand Canyon twice).
Ginger was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, whose life was centered on faith, family, and service. She is survived by her children: Derek & Kelli Rapp, Meigin & Erik Larson, Dax Rapp, and Darci & Dave Madsen; her mother Louise Clement; her sister Janice Gardner; and grandchildren: Hadley & Owen Rapp, Sam, Jessie, & Linzie Larson, and Jaxon, Marshall, & Ellie Madsen.
A lifelong woman of faith, Ginger’s spirit reached people of all ages—from the very young to the very old. She served faithfully as a teacher and occupational therapist, gave countless hours in church callings, including Relief Society presidency and Primary president. She also served with selflessness, love, and dedication as her husband served in bishoprics, as high councilor, bishop, and in the stake presidency.
Ginger was proceeded in death by Meikle Rapp (husband), Don Clement (father), Morgan Clement (brother), and Trish Homer (sister).
A sincere thank you to all the health care providers and the many who offered their heartfelt love and care to Ginger, making an essential contribution to her comfort. We cannot say enough to express our gratitude and love to the outpouring of love and service given by neighbors, ward members, family, and friends.
