Geraldine Farnsworth

Geraldine Jackson Farnsworth passed away at the age of 96 on November 23, 2025, in Layton, Utah. She was born on March 4, 1929, in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Geraldine and her husband, John A. Farnsworth II, were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple on November 12, 1956. 

Geraldine worked at the Davis County Assessor’s Office in Farmington, Utah until she was 65 years old. She was an avid reader and enjoyed quilting, oil painting and ceramics. She also enjoyed adult coloring books, gardening and her dogs. She had lived in many places including Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Ogden and Farmington. Her last dog, Sofie, passed three weeks before her on November 1, 2025. They will be sorely missed.

At the time of Geraldine’s passing, she had 20 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. That is 81 names to remember and she loved every one of them.

Geraldine is survived by her daughters, Susan Farnsworth Burton/ Stephen, Christine Farnsworth Jones/ Michael (deceased), Clara Farnsworth Hickman/ Russell D. and Brenda Farnsworth Hadley/ Wayne (deceased); sons, John A. Farnsworth III and Preston Scott Farnsworth/ Dawn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Farnsworth II and her daughter, Gloria Farnsworth Vallette.

A viewing will be held Friday, November 28, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Russon Mortuary and Crematory, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, Utah.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29,2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Canyon View Building, 850 North 300 West, Farmington, Utah. Prior to the services, a viewing will be held from 9:45 – 10:45 A.M. at the church. Burial will be at the Farmington City Cemetery, 200 East 500 South, Farmington, Utah.
