Gary Steven Crane, 65, passed away due to health complications on May 13th, 2024. Gary was born November 1st, 1958, in Las Vegas, NV. the youngest of three children and only son of Captain John R Crane USAF and Helene (Lund) Crane. He was blessed to have two of the most loving sisters in the world, Christene and Linda, who would care for him his whole life through.
Gary grew up in Bountiful, UT and enjoyed fishing, camping, ATVs, & boating. He was known for his calm demeanor, kindness, love of animals, green thumb, great taste in music and one-of-a-kind laugh.
His life was not without some of the greatest sorrows a person can be tested by, but he never once lost his sense of humor and had a quiet determination and unequaled tenacity that we are so very proud of. He overcame so much, and his heart remained solid gold.
Gary raised his five children in Syracuse UT. He worked hard for many years at Hill Air Force Base and retired in 2021. He spent his last years traveling with his best buddy, his dog Bailey. We loved hearing about his trips to Elephant Butte and Tombstone among other places. We know he will have some great stories for us when we see him again.
Gary is survived by his sisters Christene(Jack) Roberson, and Linda (Rick) Wilder, Children Amber (Shawn) Spader, Amanda (Faaleo) Togisala, Amy Crane, Gary Crane Jr., and Michael Crane, 14 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents and his grandson Colin Larsen.
