Floyd Rasmus Larson, 91 died 15 August 2007 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born 15 December 1915 in Ephraim, Utah to Rasmus Christian Larson and Elvena Nicolena Jenson. He had 4 brothers and 3 sisters who all preceded him in death. On 4 February 1941 he married Maurine Lasson. On 27 February 1941 he was drafted in the Army and sent to Europe. He served until September of 1945 as a chemist. Floyd and Maurine had four children; Camille, Jeanne, Jill and Michael. They were preceded in death by their two beloved daughters Camille and Jeanne. His devoted companion of 64 years died 8 December 2005. Floyd graduated from Utah State Agricultural College with a major in agronomy and a minor in chemistry. A dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he served in numerous capacities including Bishop, high councilor and Temple worker. He retired from the Bureau of Reclamation in Grand Junction, Colo prior to moving to Bountiful. Floyd was committed to his wife, family, neighbors and friends, always giving of himself and his means to anyone in need. He truly exemplified a Christ-like life. He loved to garden and share his harvest. Though the ravages of diabetes caused him great pain and suffering he always acknowledged and thanked others for their service and visits. Floyd is survived by his daughter Jill Jones Ben of Henefer and son Michael Terry of Farmington, 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Two grandsons preceded him in death. Todd A. Murphy at birth and Shane J. Boyer age 26. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the Bountiful 16th Ward Chapel, 720 East 550 North. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Saturday 10:45 ? 11:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
