Floyd Robert Breeze

April 9, 1933 — September 25, 2023

Farmington

Floyd Robert Breeze of Farmington, Ut passed away on September 25, 2023. He was born April 9, 1933 to Claude Robert Breeze and Edna Matilda Floyd Breeze in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from South High School in 1951 and the University of Utah in 1957, after serving a mission an LDS mission to the Southern States. He served two years active duty with the Army Reserve and spent his entire career with the Federal Government in budget and finance. Work took him to Saipan, Mariana Islands, Washington DC, and Denver, CO. He retired from the Bureau of Reclamation in 1987 and then did consulting work on a large irrigation project in Sri Lanka.

On March 25, 1957, Floyd married Janet May Walkenhorst (Jensen) in the Salt Lake Temple and they were blessed with six children. Floyd served the Lord wherever he went, and especially enjoyed being an ordinance worker in both the Washington DC and Bountiful Utah Temples. He spent many years doing record extraction for the Church, as well as creating a family database of over 30,000 names. After his retirement, Floyd and Janet served missions in Ogden, Utah and Papau New Guinea. Throughout his life, Floyd's commitment to the Gospel never wavered; he was as large and solid in spirit as he was in body. As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was an exemplar of dependability, loyalty, perseverance, and unconditional love.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, his parents, brother Claude F. Breeze, sister Barbara Karpowitz, nephew Gordon W. Breeze and grandson Richard Bailey Breeze. He is survived by his children Claudia Anna Jackson (Steve), Alison Jean O'Laughlin (John), Mitchell Floyd Breeze (Geneil), William Taylor Breeze (Deann), Lorraine Kay Hansen (David), John Floyel Breeze (Tracee), 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

The family would like to thank all the friends and caregivers at Legacy House of Bountiful and Inspiration Home Health and Hospice for loving and caring for our parents.
