Fern L. Russell, our loving, positive, gentle, wonderful, special mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, age 85, passed away peacefully from natural causes on February 7, 2004 at her daughter?s Centerville home. Born September 4, 1918 in BoneTrail, North Dakota to homesteaders, Harry and Mary Scott Achamire. She spent her childhood living on a farm and learning in one-room school houses and earned her teaching associates degree at Minot State Teaching College. She worked in the education field until 1958 when she and her husband, Noel, successfully opened and operated the Great Northwestern General Insurance Agency in Great Falls, Montana until their retirement in 1983. She spent her last 21 years in Utah with her daughter. Survivors: three children, Mrs. Wayne Nola Jean Kelley, Arizona; Nolan Francis Russell, Great Falls, Montana; and Mrs. Clayton Mary Ellen Memmott, Centerville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Noel 1985, parents, brother, and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jennings Lane Ward, 1461 North Main, Centerville. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Thursday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Farmington City Cemetery. The family would like to take this time to thank all of the caring, wonderful ward members and friends who have visited and spent time with Fern these past several years, during her failing health.
