Eyvon Davis Martin

July 1, 1930 — September 5, 2025

Eyvon Davis Martin was born on July 1, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jack and Vi Davis. She was the oldest of four children, with three younger brothers: Jack, Gary, and Ray (who preceded her in death). Eyvon spent her early childhood in California before her family moved back to Beaver, Utah, at the beginning of World War II. She attended school in Beaver, where she was a twirler in the band and was crowned Junior Prom Queen. She graduated in 1948.

In 1949, Eyvon married her eternal sweetheart, Dan Martin. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, family, and service. They owned and operated the Ponderosa Café for several years, while Eyvon also maintained a long career at the Beaver Branch of the Milford State Bank, where she worked faithfully for 21 years. She loved the mountain property that she and Dan owned and went there as often as possible. She belonged to several Civic organizations and was once selected as Woman of the Year by the Business and Professional Women’s Organization. She loved golf and was an avid golfer. She was a member and served in leadership of the Canyon Breeze Ladies Golf Association. Most of all she loved her daily summertime Jeep rides with Dan where they would go to the trailer and enjoy the mountains and a wonderful cup of cuppachino (as they called it).

Eyvon and Dan raised their family in Beaver, welcoming three children: Danna, Melonie, and David. They were blessed with a loving home and a strong foundation of faith and family. After 54 years of marriage, Eyvon’s beloved husband, Dan, passed away in 2003. As a life long member of the LDS church she was later sealed to Dan in the St George temple on November 8,2013.

In her later years, Eyvon’s eyesight began to fail, and she moved in with her children, who lovingly cared for her. She passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, from pneumonia, surrounded by the love of her family.
