December 3, 1958 — September 3, 2022

Layton

On Saturday September 3rd, 2022: We lost a father, brother, uncle, and grandpa. He was 63 years old. Emil was born on December 3, 1958, to Thayne Vargason and Karen Zweigart in Pocatello Idaho. He had two brothers and one sister: Michael Vargason, Eddie Vargason, and Vicky Vargason. Growing up he excelled at many sports, but his true passion was pottery.  He was a gifted potter who could turn lumps of clay into beautiful masterpieces.

He would meet the love of his life wife Korlinda Mikesell of 44 years in high school. They married on October 3rd, 1978, and had two sons, Emil Brock Vargason, and Neil Scott Vargason.  Kory passed away on April 14th, 2021.

Emil loved his family and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved putting on amateur firework displays on the 4th of July, decorating his home for Christmas that would make Clark Griswold  proud, and turning his home into a haunted house for Halloween.  These holidays will never be the same with him.

He is survived in death by his sons Emil Brock Vargason (Jennifer), Neil Scott Vargason (Amanda) brothers Michael Vargason (Lisa), Eddie Vargason (Amy), And sister Vicky Hansen (Michael) Granddaughters: Mckenna Vargason, Brenley Vargason, Kloe Vargason, Brooklyn Vargason, Oaklyn Vargason, Addison Silveria, Kaylie Craw, and Emersyn Craw. Grandsons: Brayden Vargason, Jace Vargason, Neil Vargason, Mason Vargason, Braden Craw, and Carter Craw.

Dad, we are so proud of you and the man you became. You instilled morals, values, and family traditions. Our hearts are broken, and nothing will be the same without you. You were bigger than life, our superhero, and you are going to be missed. Thank you for everything. Love little “E” and “Peeler”.
