Elliott Rangvald Carlsen

Elliott Rangvald Carlsen passed away peacefully on Sept 25, 2025. He was born on Oct 17, 1937, in Murray, Utah, to Norman R. and Marjorie A. Carlsen.

He married Lois N. (Houmand) Carlsen on Jan 3, 1967. She preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by brothers Wilbur Deloy Carlsen and Norman H. Carlsen and sister Evelyn JoAnn (Carlsen) Fields.

Survived by daughters K’lyn (Carlsen) Paris and Julie (Burns) Moyer. Also survived by his sister Marjean (Carlsen) Bair.

Elliott graduated from Jordan High School in 1955. He served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Utah Department of Transportation after 31 years.

Elliott loved reading, hunting, fishing, taking photos and refereeing soccer.

He took special pride in the part he played as a volunteer at the 2000 Utah Winter Olympics.

At Elliott’s request, there will be no formal service.
