Ellen Hatch Salisbury

Ellen Hatch Salisbury, 84, of Bountiful, Utah, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, in Bountiful.

Ellen was born on April 29, 1941, to Reed Hatch and Glenona (Nonie) Hatch. From the start, she was tiny but mighty, a little spitfire with the brightest smile and a gift for finding the good in life.

Ellen graduated from Bountiful High School, where she served as Student Body Secretary. Growing up and through her teen years, she loved to dance, sing, and roller skate, and that spark stayed with her throughout her life.

Ellen later worked as a travel agent for Morris Travel, doing work that fit her adventurous spirit. Hawaii held a special place in her heart. It was her favorite place to visit, and she even lived there for six months and worked at the LDS visitor center.

Ellen loved flowers, quiet time in her backyard, and long walks with her beloved dog Lucy. Bear Lake was one of her happy places and a source of many sweet memories with friends and family. She loved clothes, jewelry, and shoes, and always had a way of looking put together while still feeling like herself. She loved shopping at the dollar store and was known for sending kids and grandkids home with a bag of goodies after every visit. More than anything, she loved being a mother and showed her care through constant thoughtfulness and love. One of her classic sayings was, “What do you know!”

Ellen was married to Robert Sheriff, and together they had two sons, Scott and Reed. She later married Jessie Salisbury in 2001. Jessie lovingly called Ellen “my sweetheart,” and they were known by everyone as the cutest couple.

Ellen is survived by her son Reed (Julie), her son Scott, her grandchildren Nicole (Casey), Joslynn (Daron), Dylan, Carson, and Aiden, as well as her stepchildren, step grandchildren, and great grandchildren.S

he was preceded in death by her parents Reed Hatch and Glenona Hatch, her husband Jessie Salisbury, and her brother Gilbert Hatch.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Park Meadows Ward, 950 North Main Street, Centerville, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at Bountiful Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah 84010.
