October 16, 1942 — May 3, 2024

Centerville, UT

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Elaine Lilli Hess Thomsen Fisher, who passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on October 16, 1942, in Silkeborg, Denmark, she was the daughter to Orvill and Methe Thomsen. For over six decades, Elaine was married to her sweetheart, Gary Earl Fisher, sharing a remarkable journey of hopes and dreams and building a beautiful life together.

Professionally, Elaine was a talented and detailed accountant, whose expertise and dedication earned her the respect of colleagues and clients alike.   With a tireless work ethic, she approached every task with precision, integrity, and dedication.

Her roles as wife, mother and grandmother brought her joy and happiness.   She enjoyed spending time with her family traveling and playing games of all kinds. Elaine and Gary created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories for their two daughters. Elaine was not only a talented accountant, but also a meticulous housekeeper teaching her children how to create a warm and welcoming environment maintained with love and care.

Elaine enjoyed the little things of life.  Whether she was immersed in a gripping mystery novel, competing in a spirited game of bowling, or indulging in her passion for crafts and jigsaw puzzles, she enjoyed her hobbies and talents. But what endeared her to those around her was her radiant smile and the way her eyes would light up when she experienced a moment of joy with her family. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the life of a remarkable woman.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Gary Fisher, her two daughters, Lori (Chan) Epling, and Piper (Michael) Christensen. Her loved grandchildren Lindsey, Kayden, Alexis, McKenna, and Riley, and her large extended family. She is also survived by her sisters Evelyn (Bill) Oberg, and Inge-Lise (Peter) Goss.

A private service will be held for immediate family and close friends. She will be interred at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
