Edwin Edgar Lee, age 91, passed away on April 23, 2026. Born on July 1, 1934 to parents martin Lee and Katie Beck-Lee, he was one of twelve children. He grew up along with his seven brothers and four sisters working on their family’s 2000-acre farm in Haynes, North Dakota. He graduated from Hettinger High School in Hettinger, North Dakota in 1952.
In 1956 he moved to Seattle, Washington and began working for The Boeing company. Shortly after the move, he met his future wife, Jean Larivee. They were married in June of 1959 and had five children together – Three boys and two girls.
During his time at Boeing, he began his career Plant II in Seattle before moving over to the Renton facility in aircraft assembly. In 1980, he was transferred to the Everett, Washington facility to enter management. He worked his way up to the position of Customer Quality Assurance working as a liaison to airline representatives as well as other customer. He also worked on other various projects including Air Force One, aircraft for Sir Richard Branson, and the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia. He retired from The Boeing company in April of 1994 after 37 years of service and moved to Layton, Utah.
In retirement he kept busy with various hobbies, such as building wood doll houses, fishing and watching sports.
He is survived by his wife Jean of nearly 67 years, children Annette, Mark, Marvin, Marie, and Scott, sisters Norma Sipma and Arlys Ketterling, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held in a celebration of his life on Tuesday, April 28th at Russon Mortuary and Crematory in Syracuse, Utah at 12pm until 2pm.
