Doris Eddley Jenkins

Doris Eddley Jenkins passed away November 27, 2024, at the age of 92. She passed peacefully in her home in Bountiful, Utah.

Doris was born December 30, 1931 to W. B. and Eddley Charter Jenkins. 

She is survived by her son, Ronald D. Schick (Carol); Kristi and Brian Black; four grandchildren: Jason Schick (Brittany); Shana Blackburn (Chad); Dustin Schick (Amber); fourteen great grandchildren and four great-great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her dear grandson “Jonnie”/Jon Schick (Monica). Her kids and her grandkids were the light of her life.

Doris was a strong, independent woman. She enjoyed her grandchildren, softball and bowling. She retired from Sperry Univac/Unisys after 27 years of service. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

Doris was blessed with very good health most of her life. She enjoyed the friendship of many good friends and family.

Thank you so much to her “forever-friend” Marta Vilchez for her tender, loving care and constant, comforting companionship throughout the last year of her life!

A memorial service will be held at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, December 6, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

The family is welcome to gather 1 hour prior to services.

Interment will follow at the Midvale City Cemetery.
