Our beloved Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother Donna Mae (Snyder) Morris passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 20, 2026. Donna led a loving and fulfilling life.
Donna was born on May 4, 1936, in Goshen, Utah, to Theron T. Snyder and Jeanette Carolyn (Hansen) Snyder. She grew up in Nephi, Utah, where she was a cheerleader in high school. Her dad was also the principal. She told many stories about lessons she learned from that era. She competed in keyboarding competitions. Due to her typing abilities, she had a goal to become a legal secretary and attend college after high school. However, she never attended because raising a family came first.
Donna later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she met and married the love of her life, James Allen Morris. Donna and Jim loved to fish and camp all summer long. They even traveled with their 2 beta fish one summer. They also loved going on cruises with her siblings.
Donna had many talents. She was a wonderful cook. Family get-togethers were always great! She loved knitting and crocheting dish rages, clothes and afghans. She also loved quilting, ceramics and of course reading her many books. She loved playing her piano and often had Jim singing along with her.
Donna is survived by her loving husband Jim, her children Hal (Karen) Wolf, Dave (Patti) Wolf and Brenda Meredith. She has 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved daughter Ann Marie, 3 brothers Lamar, Frank and Gary, and her sister Rita, along with many uncles, aunts and cousins.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all her caregivers from Home Instead, along with her nurses and doctor from Dignity Health.
We especially would like to extend a special thank-you to Maria, Amanda, Brandi and Mindy for their extra care, love and kindness that they gave to Donna and some will continue to give to Jim. You can’t imagine how much that means to us.
Donna’s legacy of kindness, love for her family, and compassion will live on in all who knew and love her.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah.
