Donna Mae Jorn

December 24, 1929 — October 4, 2022

Donna Mae Jorn was born December 24th, 1929 in Pocatello, Idaho to Ellen Olsen and William Riddell. She was the second of five siblings. She grew up in Salt Lake City attending West High School. She married Milton “Mick” Jorn in 1954. They shared a mutual love of baseball. Together they lived in Bountiful, UT, where they raised their son Jay.

Donna would always say that her religion was what she could do for others. She lived her religion wholeheartedly by helping raise many generations of family members, babysitting children, and acting as an amazing caregiver to her mom and sister.

Donna enjoyed being a snowbird, and spent many winters in Yuma, Arizona. Her hobbies included golfing, bowling, gardening and canning food. Donna was fierce and never lost her spunk or sass. She was a very classy woman and will be always remembered for her green eye shadow and mauve lipstick.

Donna was very independent and lived on her own until the last year of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings. She is survived by her son Jay (Lydia) Jorn, and generations of nieces and nephews.

Donna believed in guardian angels, and loved to collect them. She was an angel to many in her family. We know she will continue to watch over us. We are all very grateful for the love she has shown us, and we’ll miss her dearly. Love you always and forever, your family.

Per Donna’s wishes, a private family service will be held.
