Donna Jean Scarpelli Hess Jensen

Donna Jean Scarpelli Hess Jensen passed away in the arms of her best friend and daughter on June 5, 2026; just eight days before her 92nd birthday, at her home in Farmington.

She married Lowell S. Hess after graduating from Davis High School and raised two daughters together. They remained friends until Lowell's death in 2013. She then married Herbert Jensen and spent the rest of Herb's life together; happily creating and working the 'Old Farm'.

Incredibly loyal, loving and hardworking, mama was extremely proud of her Italian heritage and of her grandsons. She brought light and a beautiful smile to everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Scarpelli, husband, Lowel S. Hess, and husband, Herbert C. Jensen.

She is survived by her daughter, Lori A. Newell Thomas; grandson, Joshua T. (Alecia) and two great-grandchildren; grandson Jacob M. (Brandy) and two great-grandchildren; grandson, Jordon L.; granddaughter, Jennifer (Tyson) and five great-grandchildren; grandson, Jeremy (Claudia) and four great-grandchildren.

There are no words to describe what I learned from this incredible, once in a lifetime "Classy Lady" or the hole in my soul that she took with her. Love you, Mama.
