Debra Fletcher Wray

Debbie Lee Wray, 72, of Bountiful Utah, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, July 8, 2024. 

Debbie was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 16, 1952, to parents Jack Fletcher and Ruth Whitehead.

She grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from Highland High School in 1970.

On July 17, 1981, she married Scott Wray. Together they had three daughters and a son.

After having children, she pursued a career in nursing. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah in 1998. Afterward, she worked in the N.I.C.U at Lakeview Hospital and the University of Utah Hospital while working towards her master’s degree.

She served in many callings throughout her life in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing, interior decorating, and serving those around her. She cherished time with her children and grandchildren.

She spent the last 15 years residing at Barton Creek in Bountiful where she was very loved, and had many special friendships.

Debbie is survived by her children Ashlee Norton (Brock), Andrew Wray, Molly Wray Ostler, Sadie Ostler (Daniel); her grandchildren, London, Tate, and Beckett Norton, McKennah Cluff, Thomas, and Katherine Ostler, Sophie, Holland, Marley, and Charlotte Ostler; and her brothers David Fowler, and Scott Fletcher.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Fletcher and Ruth Whitehead, and Scott Wray, with whom she shared many years and four children.

A graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West. Viewings will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah 84010.
